How does the LASER treatment work on spider veins?

We use diode LASER for spider veins treatment. The LASER energy penetrates through the epidermis in order to be absorbed by the hemoglobin of vessels, causing temperature increase and occlusion of vessels. The result of that procedure is the gradual disappearance of spider veins. The results are expected after 4-5 sessions, each one performed between 1,5 -2 months.

Contraindications to LASER treatment?

The main contraindication for the therapy is venous insufficiency. Additionally, the treatment must be avoided in summertime in order to reduce the possibility of burning especially on patients with dark colour of epidermis.
