The photorejuvenation is a non surgical procedure that uses the combination of intense pulsed light (IPL) and radiofrequency(RF), reduces the photoaging points like freckles , fine lines and spider veins and refresh the damaged skin in order to look younger and brighter.

How does the photorejuvenation therapy work?

The energy of the intense pulsed light is absorbed by the therapy target. In case of spider veins the energy is absorbed by the veins and in case of brown freckles the target is melanin, destroying by heating the photoageing points. Additionally, that heating activate the fibroblasts to product new collagen and elastin fibres which are the main substances of young and tight skin. All skin types are suitable for the treatment after the fourth decade of life. However, the treatment must be avoided in summertime.

Contraindications to photorejuvenation therapy ?

Contraindications of photorejuvanation are all the diseases that can be activated or aggravated by the light (discoid erythematosus lupus, epilepsy etc), the use of drugs that cause photosensitivity (retinoids, sulfonamides ), pregnancy , immunosuppression, skin cancer.
