Periklis Giovas, MD

Internal Medicine Specialist

Periklis Giovas graduated from Athens University School of Medicine (1998).

He has been specialized in Internal Medicine.

His research interests are focused on hypertension, subject of his PhD thesis, as well as on the emerging e-Health field.
He is involved in telemedicine since 1994, as research associate at the University Medical Physics Lab, the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center and the Hypertension Unit of the 1st University Department of Propaedeutic Medicine. From 2003 to 2009, he was research associate at “Sotiria” Hospital e-Health Unit, which was selected from the European Commission for e-Inclusion Award 2008. He was editor of “Telemedicine in Practice” edition, with contributions of 42 scientists from Greece, Europe and US.

Periklis Giovas joined Symmetria's medical team in 2009.
