Symmetria supports people with a disability
Symmetria supports Manos Bogdos, Greece's National Saber Fencing athlete.
There are three main reasons why Symmetria has chosen to sponsor Manos Bogdos in his quest towards becoming a fencing champion in Beijing 2008.

Excellence. Manos entered the Athens School of Medicine with an average 19.89 out of 20.00 on his qualifying exams. He was acclaimed "first amongst first" and recognized as such by the President of the Greek Republic. Today he is successfully completing his fifth year in Medical School.

Perseverance. While a medical student, with all the hard long study hours, projects and exams that this entails, Manos also took up fencing. Impassioned immediately by the sport's high demand for strength, quick reflexes, skills and above all strategic intelligence, Manos determined to become a champion. To carry this through requires above all unswerving firmness of resolve and insistent dedication; it means training long hours consistently despite for Manos an equally demanding University schedule.

Inspiration. Manos was paralyzed after a serious climbing accident in the summer of 1999 in Meteora. Manos is an inspiration to us not only because of his clear-sighted goals and ideals, his hard-working spirit to achieve excellence in Medicine and Sports, but above all because of his unquenchable love of life. He is an inspiration and model upon which we compare the "Anthropino Metro" or Human Ideal.

As you, Manos, inspire all of us here in Symmetria so we also believe and are here to support you. From all of us here at Symmetria we wish you good luck!

Symmetria was one of the sponsors of the 2nd International Meeting for Swimmers with Disabilities organised in Thessaloniki, Greece on 17 February 2007 and continuously supports ELEPAP, an association that caters for children with a disability.
