How do injectable fillers - hyaluronic acid work?

The procedure is performed at the doctor's office. The doctor performs a number of intradermal injections to smooth wrinkles or imperfections following the application of local anaesthetic cream on the areas to be treated. The same procedure is done to fill up the lips or the facial contour. Maybe more than one session will be needed to achieve the desired result and it has to be repeated when it is absorbed by the body which is in a period of 6 months to a year, depending on the product used, the type of skin, the area treated, the amount injected and the injection technique.

Contraindications to injectable fillers - hyaluronic acid treatment?

Contraindications on the treatment constitute the local inflammation of the skin, patients that take anticoagulant medications, cold sore and pregnancy.
